Quietly tucked away in a remote corner of a busy industrial facility in Somerset County PA, Blue Mountain Research and Experimental Kitchen was developed to provide a creative outlet to culinarians who had ‘been around a while’ and were looking for something new and different to do. The premise: try new things and have fun cooking.From this came Blue Mountain Soups, a platform from which we can offer to our customers the handiworks of our whims and the fruits (and meats and vegetables!) of our labors.
Each of our products is hand crafted. We use the freshest ingredients available to us. We take our time.

Everyone loves a good bowl of soup, right? We certainly do! So after decades in the food service industry we decided to concentrate on something we like best and enjoy most – soup! Making soup, eating soup, experimenting with ingredients and recipes. We’re in it for the fun of it! It’s what we do, all day every day.
